Singleton’s Retreat is located on the Hawkesbury River approximately 16km’s downriver from Wisemans Ferry near Sentry Box Reach, making it the perfect location for a families looking for accommodation for a getaway in the Wisemans Ferry area. Singleton’s Retreat was originally built in about 1865 on one of the first settled properties in this part of the Hawkesbury River. Singleton’s retreat is set in private and secluded surroundings and adjoins the 30,000-acre Marramarra National Park making it a no brainer destination for a family getaway. The Cottage has all the facilities and appliances a modern home could provide, without the loss of its yesteryear character. The accommodation is a 3-bedroom weatherboard cottage with large verandah’s overlooking the Hawkesbury River and cottage style gardens to natural bush-land. The cottage itself sleeps 9 people and is pet friendly meaning all the family can getaway to this outstanding location. Singleton’s Retreat now has a floating pontoon jetty, making access to the river very easy. Guests will now be able to launch any small watercraft such as kayaks, Stand up paddle boards, Wind surfers, Tinnies and canoes from this floating jetty. Also if you have a sailing boat or crusier and wish to stay at our cottage you will now be able to anchor off shore and come in by rubber ducky or the like. The cottage has all the modern conveniences you need including a modern kitchen. Ducted air-conditioning that works like a dream for anytime of the year. On arrival you are welcomed with wine to enjoy as you start to unwind and relax and take in the wonderful surroundings. We supply high quality linen, towels and hand towels. Cooking oil, ground pepper sea salt, paper towels, serviettes, flour, sugar, long life milk, range of teas. Coffee percolator and plunger are part of the kitchen. Things to bring: Consumables and beverages, personal gear, insect repellent. Singleton’s Retreat is pet friendly so you can relax and have the comfort of knowing your pet is with you, they will enjoy the free and open area. In winter, you can relax in front of the open fire place, so consider staying at one of the cosiest cottages available! We are looking forward to welcoming guests back to Singleton’s Retreat. Under the NSW Government regulations, the requirement will be for all those eligible for vaccination to be double vaccinated. The regulation will also require evidence of the vaccination to be submitted to the host. If your booking is prior to the NSW Governments target of 70% vaccination rate and your booking if affected by travel restrictions Singleton’s Retreat will work with you to arrange a new travel date. Once the vaccination target is reached our normal cancellation policy applies.
