Quirky Stable Retreat
Situated in the heart of this ancient Saxon village, this renovated stable lies behind No7 Grange Rd (one of the prettiest roads in the village). The property is within a few minutes walk from shops , a village cafe (selling excellent coffee and cakes),2Pubs , several restaurants including The Bridge with a window and balcony looking directly over the river.Their are also various takeaways such as fish and chips, Indian, Chinese and pizza. This village has an interesting 15th century bridge, 12 century church and even The Falcon Inn (now a private residence)where Will Shakespeare is reputed to have downed a few flagons of ale. The stable has its own access, a private patio accessed via two fully glazed doors. The property features a smart TV , WiFi , “Kettle Lighting , Floor lighting underfloor heating in the unique shower and toilet room. Being an old building it never gets too hot in summer or too cold in winter. But fans are provided for extra comfort if needed. Sleeping for 2 is under the eves of the Stable “hayloft “which is accessed by a ladder style space saver staircase (see photo)Very tall and those not so agile May find the hayloft a bit challenging but fun nonetheless. Bidford-on-Avon is situated on the edge of The Cotswolds , within 6 miles of Shakespeare's Stratford- it has a regular bus service every 30 mins. Being a friendly village, regular chats with locals while out walking are not unusual.
