Paluso Guest Ranch

Our ranch sits on 80 acres bordering the Northern Kettle Moraine Forest with a trail head just outside the driveway. Our ranch is home to many horses, chickens, cats, and our lab Oakley. We purchased the property 20 years ago following a passion for horse training and riding and hope to share that with you during your stay! Our lower level is newly remodeled that retains the character of the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) homestead with modern amenities, private rooms, and wrap around porch. This listing is for both the Turquoise room an the White room, both bedrooms on the first floor. Each room can house 2 individuals and share a bedroom. These two bedrooms and the shared bathroom are located in the back portion of our home, separate from the rest of the house. The Ranch house has a total of five bedrooms and three baths. Every reservation during summer months is a two day minimum except for the Turquoise room and the White room (both rooms in this listing). The lower level has been totally remodeled with all modern amenities including a spa bath with three shower heads and steam room function located in the downstairs bathroom. Each room is your PRIVATE space yet the kitchen, living area, and indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces could possibly be SHARED with other guests. Both of these rooms have access to the wrap around porch, with views of the pasture, perfect to enjoy a morning coffee. Both have queen Sleep Number beds, smart TVs, ceiling fans, and a dresser/closet for storage. The indoor entertainment space includes dining tables, full bar (byob), and pool and poker table with easy access to the large outdoor patio and fire pit. These are all shared spaces. To receive air conditioning in your private room you must have the door partially agar. There are plenty of daily chores and projects that we will be tending to, but I will be available as much as you would like me to be for your stay. A full farmer’s breakfast can be prepared upon request with our farm fresh eggs and veggies. Private lessons and trail rides can be offered á la carte. We ask that you please be mindful of the animals and equipment around the ranch, especially with children, for your safety. Our property sits adjacent to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, featuring miles of hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and horseback riding trails. A creek runs just a minutes walk from the property with a picnic area that sits just off the trails. Mauthe and Long lakes are less than a 10 minutes drive away and are great for fishing, boating, kayaking, or a day on the beach (a WI state park fee is required for access to these lakes). Kewaskum, WI is a known as the “gateway to the Kettle Moraine State Forest” located along the banks of the Milwaukee River. It offers an active main street and is home to Sunburst ski hill, a family park, and our favorite “Coffee Corner Bistro”. Kewaskum also features the intersection of multiple state trails, including the National Ice Age Trail, the Eisenbahn trail, and the Kettle Moraine trail system. The National Ice Age Trail is easily accessible and showcases how this beautiful landscape and forest were formed.
