Our apartment (Casa Santo) is part of a six apartment 'Borghetto' (formerly a rural, rustic farmhouse from the 14th century) in the hills below the village of San Gennaro near Lucca. The apartment is a tasteful blend of rustic, contemporary and antique furnishings. A 5 x 12 metre swimming pool with beautifully manicured lawns is shared by the apartments and is located on the terrace above the apartment with lovely views down the valley toward Lucca. Picture yourself on the grounds of an historic 14th century building, rebuilt to the highest standards using only traditional Tuscan materials and methods, from handmade terra cotta tiled floors, to chestnut beams and tiled ceilings.
