We don’t believe in waste, so open the cupboards and you may find any items left behind, for you to use if needed. You may find any useable toiletries, condiments, spices and foodstuffs. You may find that there is extra wood on the firepit or left over gas for the BBQ. The previous guest may have left your favourite book among the homes collection of popular reads. Among left items can be spare batteries, scented candles and pool toys. The kind of things you won’t get at a hotel. The things that feel like home. Entertain the children with a picnic at one of the many nearby parklands. You’ll find picnic supplies, and platters for putting on a spread. I like to run the home as a ‘share it on’ scenario where people help people, by passing on a kind gesture. If you don’t find these things, please remember that it is not standard to supply, and if you’re missing out on something, you are more than likely getting something else in it’s place. There is always something to be grateful for. The home features art by local artists, and the rooms are trendy whilst maintaining a cozy atmosphere. Take a short stroll into the streets and you will find a playground, corner shop, post office, Dan Murphy’s, a BMX bike park and a stunning walking trail around the local reservoir, all within a 5 minute radius. Supermarkets and a Westfield Shopping Centre, a waterpark and a hospital are within a 5 minute drive. Nothing about this property feels like a hotel. It is your home away from home, complete with friendly neighbours, occasionally the suburbs cat and the kind ice cream man who drives his van by on warm Sunday evenings. If you’re lucky, you’ll find some random wildlife may even come to pay a visit. All part of the charm of staying at the foothills, and being surrounded by parklands.
