As Airbnb hosts, we rely rather heavily on communication regarding check in/out times etc, since we have no formal reception area that you will find in a hotel. This may surprise you but this part of NJ is closer to Midtown Manhattan, Times square, Theater district, Madison Square Garden, Grand Central, Empire state Building, Saint Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center than staying in other parts of lower and upper Manhattan itself. We are closer than all parts of Brooklyn and way closer than staying in Queens or Bronx. Edgewater luxury residential area located on the Hudson River, make sure you walk to the river to take pics of Manhattan skyline. It is one of the very few walkable neighborhoods in NJ. Closest Supermarket - ACME (10 min walk) 481 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020 Simply make a left on the main road, River Rd and continue until you see the plaza on your right. Some of the restaurants in the area are BYOB = Bring Your Own Bottle or Buzz :) so you can plan ahead and get some that you love. Paid street parking spots - Pay the meters during the day (7:00 am - 9 pm) and free overnight and a municipal parking lot close by. You can park your car and walk around or just hop on a bus/Ferry and go to Manhattan. 25-30 min bus ride to NYC (more details below) Buses: Here's the really good news - 158 bus located around the corner from the building and runs every 10-15 min during rush hours and every 30 min during the evenings to the PABT = Port authority bus terminal located at 42nd and 8th ave (Times square) and the largest central subway hub :) very convenient. From PABT you can take any of these metro Lines - Blue(A,C,E), Red(1,2,3), Yellow(N,Q,R), Cross town (7) and (S). Note: 158 bus fare $4.50 one way or buy 10 round trips for $42.50. Subway tickets cost $2.5 per ride and you can buy 7-days unlimited pass at $29 if you know you'll be running around Manhattan site seeing. Ferry: Ferry fare $9 each way. There is a free shuttle only in the morning that picks you up on River Rd where our bus stop is and drops you off at the Ferry station where you can cross to Manhattan in 9 min and skip traffic. Also makes for a wonderful experience to see Manhattan skyline. ✦ Although it's a quiet street, there's potential traffic noise in the morning as we are located in a prime location where the bus stops around the corner but that's what makes it super convenient. ✦ Rebecca's restaurant is located below. On rare occasions (weekend), they have a private event with music played that you can potentially hear for a couple of hours. ✦ We will do our best to help accommodate a late/early check-in/out when possible or arrange suitcase drop off to make your travel experience seamless. ✦ If you read thus far in the listing description, you are AWESOME! ☺ We greatly appreciate your time and we're excited to host you.
