This is a small complex of 2 villas that have 2 bedrooms and sleep up to 4 persons. Surrounded by nature these two villas enjoy a panoramic location by Lake Kournas with views of the lake and the White Mountains together with the backdrop of the bay of Georgioupolis. The lake is only 3kms from Georgiopolis in western Crete. Life by the lake is quiet with a handful of cafeterias and restaurants and pedalos for hire, but in Georgioupolis you will find a host of amenities and lots of shops to suit every visitor. It means you can have a quiet holiday without missing out on nightly entertainment in bars and restaurants, and that’s not to mention the beach which stretches for 10 kilometres. The area is also a good starting point for further exploration of western Crete as there are gorges to be walked, ancient sites to be visited, time trodden villages to be discovered, and beautiful sandy beaches to be lazed upon. Kournas is also only a 15 minute drive from Rethymnon, the third largest town in Crete which combines the rarely united features of old town charm and history together with the proximity to a long, sandy beach. Chania, the old capital of Crete, is also not to be missed and is half an hour’s drive to the west. The atmosphere of Chania is vibrant and cosmopolitan, and it is an absolute delight to stroll around the Venetian harbour with its charming, characteristic narrow streets where you’ll find an abundance of tavernas, cafes, bars and shops. To sum up, the area has it all really and all you have to do is choose how much or how little you want to see and do. About the villa Ground Floor The villa has an open plan living room/fully equipped kitchenette with an oven and fridge/freezer. The living room is tastefully furnished with a sofa, arm chairs, a TV and DVD player. There is also a dining table and chairs as well as a downstairs W.C. and a washing machine. Upper Floor There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor. One of the bedrooms has twin beds and the other has a double bed. There is a bathroom with a bath/shower as well as a W.C.
