Built in 1888 and completely renovated, Bayside BnB is a beautiful, private home, artist studio and gallery space. All 3 units are private & uniquely furnished with local & regional artwork. In the shadow of the lighthouse, we boast one of the best locations in town! We are across the street from Lake Michigan, marina, sandy beaches & tennis courts, & walking distance to downtown. Escanaba is centrally located for daytrips to Marquette, Fayette State Park, & Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This quiet neighborhood is a wonderful blend of park, waterfront and downtown. The city park provides views of shipping lanes and a working boatyard. Ludington Park provides Sand Point Lighthouse & museum, free summer concerts (2 -3 x per week), volleyball & tennis courts, free bikes and kayak & paddle board rentals available. Playground & sandy beach make it great for family fun! Downtown provides galleries, family owned restaurants, coffee shops and a local brewery for tasty menu selections and night life. Upper Hand Brewery is just 6 blocks away! Each unit has private entrance, bath & kitchen corner. WIFI and screen for Netflix/Roku are available in each unit as well. Discounts available for booking numerous rooms and for extended stays. Bayside BnB, situated on Little Bay de Noc, is centrally located for daytrips to Marquette, Kitch-iti-kipi (Michigan's largest freshwater spring), Fayette Historic State Park, Piers Gorge (white water rafting!), Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (boat cruises, kayaking, ice climbing)and favorite canoeing rivers like the AuTrain. Mountain biking, snowshoeing, and x country skiing trails, are all available right here, or a short drive will get you to downhill skiing and some of the best trails in the Midwest. Bayside Unit 2 is a spacious suite with a queen-sized bed, comfy reading chair and an additional room with kitchen and dining area. The bathroom has just been refurbished. All Bayside units are private spaces within my home/studio/gallery. In addition, guests have access to the yard which contains seating areas within the flower garden and the bricked patio. These are favorite spots - great for morning coffee or an afternoon snack! A cheery, bright hammock in the shade of the giant oaks beckons for outdoors relaxation. Around the corner from Lake Michigan, Bayside is walking distance to downtown, Ludington Park marina, beaches & lighthouse. Enjoy kayaking, biking, show shoeing, & x-country skiing. It's just a short walk to museum, art center, nightlife & eateries. This upstairs unit is self-sufficient with private bath, eating, sitting areas, and sleeping quarters. Mini-kitchenette provides frig, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, hotplate, etc. for your eating discretion: snacking/ breakfast/ light meals. This unit with shares an entrance into the main section of the house, but privacy is not an issue. Come and go as you please. I am a full-time Gallery Director at the nearby community arts center, the Bonifas Arts Center. It is serves as a regional arts center with exhibits, classes, performing arts and community. (Website hidden by Airbnb) www.playersdenoc. I am available to greet my guests and to answer any questions. This quiet neighborhood is a wonderful blend of park, waterfront and downtown. At the north end of the park, the Municipal Dock provides view of Escanaba's shipping lanes (ore freighters). Free summer concerts at the park's band shell are presented 2-3 x per week and our sailing regatta is every Wednesday in July. The Delta Historical Society provides a museum and tours of the lighthouse. Strolling downtown will provide a selection of family owned restaurants, coffee shops, a local craft brewery, free exhibits at the Bonifas Arts Center, and night life. Off street parking is available. There are many recreation opportunities available at the city park (1/2 block away): free yellow park bikes, tennis & volleyball courts, sandy beaches, picnic tables, playgrounds, kayak & paddle board rentals. Summer concert series offers 2 performances each week. Tours of Delta Co. History Museum and Sand Point Lighthouse - all at Ludington Park, 1/2 block away! As an artist, I have found inspiration in the neighborhood with its marina, shipping channels, lighthouse and sandy beaches. I hope you will too. Bayside offers a beautiful and inspiring space. In 2021 we have added in gallery space featuring Upper Peninsula artists. We invite you to support local artists and bring home a treasure from your stay.
