Colfox Cottage B&B ideal for weddings and walkers

Come and spend a night or three in my comfortable, sunny cottage with great views 5 minutes from the town square. It's a lovely place to walk from and 10 minutes from Axnoller and Mapperton wedding venues. Explore the Jurassic coast or visit other Dorset towns such as Bridport, Dorchester and Sherborne. You are welcome to a great B&B with tea and cake and breakfast with local produce and home made bread. Visitors always love the warm welcome and the relaxed atmosphere of the cottage. You will feel at home in a sunny breakfast/garden room looking out onto the well stocked walled (but tiny) garden, sitting room full of books and a piano, rugs and artefacts from abroad, modern impeccably clean bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. You are welcome to share my home during your stay and I will be happy to proffer whatever information I can to make your stay in Dorset a most enjoyable time. Guests have a beautifully peaceful bedroom with king size bed or one or two singles. There is wardrobe and drawer space. You will have a newly fitted private bathroom with bath and shower over. Downstairs, you may use the sitting room with wood burner and TV and eat breakfast or read the papers with coffee in the sunny garden room. There is private parking for medium to small car, or otherwise on the street. I can provide dinner and lunch bag for walkers by prior arrangement. I exchange emails both before and after booking to make sure I have understood your requirements and my sole aim is to make your stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible. The Green is a little jumble of old cottages which has views over the roofscape to the town of Beaminster, and also over the fields to the Wessex Ridgeway. Everyone is very friendly and most have the time for a 'Good Morning' or brief chat if you are out walking or in the local shops. The town is lucky to have its own butcher, fruit and veg shop, baker, hardware store, well known restaurant called Brassica, and further dining at the Ollerod Hotel and several upmarket gift homeware and clothes stores. Bridport is only 15 minutes away, with its famous Saturday market and a growing number of antique shops and stalls particularly in the St Michaels area. There are numerous artists and artisans and this is a great centre for the various open studio events, food, literary and film festivals. There are buses to Bridport but on the whole a car is necessary. If you were to want to arrive by train to Crewkerne, say, for a walking holiday, I'm sure I could pick you up from the station. I offer a choice of breakfast, full english, fruit and croissants or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
