The Lodge is located behind the shed when you arrive at Planetrees main gate. A key lock box on the right bridge post allows guests to have convenient, independent access. The village of Stanley is just 2 minutes walk and there is a great bistro pub there (The Stanley Pub). Our property is adjacent to a State forest. We provide notes about hiking and walking tracks nearby. Stanley is located on a beautiful plateau at 700m altitude. It is a region renowned for its excellent agricultural soil famed for growing grapes, berries, fruit and nuts. You can purchase produce and get a good coffee form the excellent farm gate shops nearby. Beechworth has excellent shopping and restaurants etc just 10 mins drive away. Within 25mins are a string of lovely historic villages with their own special food, wine and art offerings. We are a rural property ten minutes drive from Beechworth. Local taxis service this area. Guests agree to take all responsibility to manage pets, repair/pay for any damage caused by pets to the house and grounds, not to leave animals in the house unattended, no allow dogs in the swimming pool enclosure.
