Now it is a small, quaint area in the center of Maine within walking distance to Lake Wassookeag, a 1200 acre lake. Great fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming. ATV and snowmobile trails abound. Close to many area attractions including Bangor, Moosehead Lake, and Mount Katahdin. Great walking trails, public beach, and local parks for eating a cold ice cream, or a picnic lunch. Great for the autumn leaf peepers!
