Easily accessed off SH23, Okete Rd avoids the seasonal traffic challenges of Whāingaroa/Raglan. Onsite parking generous enough to accommodate motorhomes, caravans and horse floats which is a definite bonus if you are looking for a break from your tiny space or somewhere safe to park up with surf boards and kayaks. Lovely and quiet, set in rural Whāingaroa/Raglan; sweeping country and ocean views by day and gaze at twinkling constellations at night Car is the best way to reach us. There is a local bus which stops at Te Uku which is 35 min walk away. or 9 min by bike. Okete Rd has an unsealed portion, it easy to drive on. The main entry at the Te Uku turn off is sealed and an easy drive in and out of Whāingaroa/Raglan. The unique rural location of Whakatā features some of Waikato’s best stargazing.
