Spacious bedroom in a beautiful Edwardian home in a lovely garden setting; quiet street just a short walk from cosmopolitan Sydney Road's cafes, bars and restaurants. 10 minute walk to trains and trams, just 20 mins to the city. Easy freeway access. This home is set in a lush garden with fruit, herbs and vegetables growing. With period charm yet all modern amenities. There is a queen size bed and an extra single inner spring mattress for a third person (extra charge applies) There is a TV that plays DVD's, with an interesting selection to watch. There is a CD player with a great collection to listen to. The guests will have access to a shared bathroom with two showers and a spa bath. A kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge mean you can enjoy breakfast in bed or wine and cheese after a day exploring. Guests are welcome to enjoy the deck and garden. There is a large well functioning barbeque to use with utensils. We love to share our knowledge of this fabulous city along with tips about travelling through country Victoria and Australia wide, accumulated over years as tour guides. Or we can leave you in peace to discover Melbourne's delights on your own! We also provide an information file brimming with places to visit and things to do in Melbourne and regional Victoria that you can refer to if needed. Brunswick has everything travellers need, from a wide array of cafes and restaurants from many cuisines to an extensive strip of shops along Sydney Road. We provide an address list of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops in walking distance from our home that we recommend. We are a short walk from Moreland Railway Station. The train heads north to Coburg shopping precinct and on to Craigieburn, or into the city, which takes 20 minutes, with a stop at the zoo 7 minutes away. The number 6 tram departs from Cameron Street by the railway line, to travel through Carlton with all its restaurants and shops and past Melbourne University, into the city and Federation Square, then continuing to Glen Iris. The number 19 tram runs along Sydney Road directly into the city, passing Royal Park and Melbourne University on its Western side. Bike tracks will take you into the city through parklands. We can provide bikes and helmets. Our friendly Kelpie dog lives outside and loves attention and extra walks should you be missing your own dog but will leave you in peace if you don't want canine company.
