Breezy Point Cottage

We have agreed to provide our cottage as available for rental to Covid-19 healthcare responders and non-infected quarantine guests. We have agreed to Airbnb's rigorous standards for preparing for reservations of this kind. At Breezy Point you will have complete access to our lake frontage with picnic table and dock on Lake Onalaska though the view of the lake is limited from the cottage. The sparkling clean rooms include a full kitchen and bath, one private bedroom with a new queen bed and a common/living area. That space includes a very comfortable new full sofa sleeper and another new sofa to stretch out on as well as a dining/work area. A smart TV with digital analog (antenna) channels and Netflix and Roku is provided. We do not provide cable but you will have many viewing options. We offer a large outside deck for relaxation and dining with a limited view of the lake. There’s plenty of off-street parking for your car and boat. All furnishings and mechanicals at the cottage are new and accented with original art and authentic antiques. Décor is informal and in good taste without being stuffy. Breezy Point Cottage is located near the lakefront at the edge of a residential area on French Island, which is within the City of La Crosse. Everything on the island is within a couple miles of us, including the airport, !-90, and the Mississippi lock and dam system, though none of these networks have any visual or sound effect on our location. Nelson County Park and a private sailboat club are located at the northern end. There are several marinas on either side of French Island. We have a few casual restaurants/bars, some with entertainment, as well as a grocery store and a couple gas stations. You will find many more recreational, cultural, dining, entertainment and shopping opportunities in the greater La Crosse area on the "mainland", just a few minutes away.
