This beautifully renovated and extended cottage in the heart of the Peak District is perfectly located in the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water. Exploring the Peak District attractions is ideal - with Chatsworth Estate, the Monsal Trail, Thornbridge Hall, Haddon Hall and the beautiful market town of Bakewell just a few minutes away. The stone built cottage, originally dating back to the 1800's, has been beautifully restored and modernised to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. On entrance to the cottage, there is boot room to store all your walking gear after exploring The Peaks . This leads on to a large and cosy lounge with a Smart TV and a log burning fire nestled inside a grand fireplace. Just off the lounge, there is an substantial kitchen with a Rangemaster oven, breakfast bar and all the appliances needed, including a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, etc. This leads further onto a beautifully restored snug, with Smart TV, and dining room with exposed stonework, ample seating and bifold doors onto the recently landscaped garden. Upstairs, there are three good-sized bedrooms and two modern bathrooms which have all been recently renovated to high standards. There is a master bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, all with generous storage and lead onto a modern, family bathroom with bath and shower. Additional amenities provided for guests that have young children are: a toy box (with a large range of games and toys) located in the snug, a highchair, large travel cot, stairgate at the top of the stairs and a Tommee Tippee microwave steriliser. The cottage has one private parking bay for guests to use. Any additional vehicles can park on the road directly opposite the cottage for free. There is a regular bus service to Bakewell, Buxton and beyond from the village. The cottage has one private car parking space, and plenty of free parking along the road. The cottage is located approx. 100m from Ashford-in-the-Water famous sheep wash bridge, which is great for kids to feed the ducks and rainbow trout. The is also a brilliant village park less than 2 mins from the front door, with the Bulls Head pub backing on to it (Kids and Adults can be happy).
