Riverside Chalet with heated pool

Contemporary riverside chalet (one of just six) in the heart of the beautiful Basque countryside just 30 minutes from Biarritz. Shared, heated swimming pool. Wonderfully peaceful location and a great base from which to explore the Basque Country. The chalet is one of six, located in the countryside next to our 16th century watermill, just 30 minutes from Biarritz and the Basque Coastline. The chalet is 25m² and is well-equipped, having a small double bedroom, living/dining room and American kitchen, shower room/WC and verandah with table and chairs and a barbecue. Shared heated swimming pool 10.5 x 3m. We are located just outside the Basque village of La Bastide Clairence, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. Only 30 minutes from Biarritz and the stunning Basque coastline which is famous the world over for its excellent surfing conditions. We are also close to Bayonne, Pau, Bordeaux and across the Spanish border : San Sebastian, Pamplona and Bilbao (Guggenheim). Wonderfully peaceful location but close to all activities and restaurants, bars and beaches. We have 2 goats, 3 ducks, 5 cats and our French Bulldog, Lili. Our neighbours have llamas and donkeys. Half an hour from Biarritz International Airport, 50 minutes from Pau and Lourdes airports, 1 and a half hour's from Bilbao and Bordeaux International airports. Please note that a car is essential as we are in the countryside and not on any bus or train route. There is heating in the chalet for 'off-season' months. Please note : we can only accept bookings of a minimum of 1 week in July and August. Couples only, we do not accept children. The hillside where the chalets and pool are situated, the river bank and the riverside terrace where our vintage tea garden is. Jon and I both work from home so we are on hand for any advice or recommendations. We are located in the middle of the countryside by the river Arberoue. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful. A car is essential as we are in the middle of the countryside. The pool is heated from mid May to mid October
