Dynamo House is set in Philiphaugh Country Estate within the Yarrow Valley, Scottish Borders. The accommodation is spacious and light, surrounded by woodland nestled next to the River Yarrow. The unique, tranquil surroundings give the feel of solitude and yet is only a short distance from the picturesque town of Selkirk. Allan and Jane are co-owners of the Selkirk Craft Distillery, which is a short walk away. A complimentary private tour of the distillery is available to all guests if desired. The accommodation consists of a king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Continental breakfast will be served daily. This is included within the price . Tea, coffee and water facilities are available within the guest room. Bedroom En-suite bathroom Kitchen/ breakfast room at breakfast Allan & Jane will greet the guests on arrival and provide them with their own keys so they can come and go as they please. We will also be around each morning to serve breakfast. Staying at Dynamo house will be memorable as the hosts own the nearby distillery the home of Bannock Gin. The home is part of the Philiphaugh Estate which has a delightful walled garden within walking distance. The location offers a tranquil setting with access to many country side walks and cycle ways. Selkirk offers an excellent variety of coffee shops and Restaurants. The house is in a prime location for visiting the nearby ancient market town of Selkirk, with its links to Sir Walter Scott. Abbotsford House the home of Scott is a must visit location along with other Scottish Borders stately Homes including, Bowhill House, The Haining, Floors Castle and Traquair House. Dynamo House is approximately a 2 mile drive from Selkirk town centre. If you fancy a visit to Edinburgh Tweedbank train station is only a 10 minute drive with free parking. If you prefer to stay local for your visit there are many walking routes in and around Philiphaugh and Bowhill estate accessible from Dynamo house.
