Situated between Cardiff and Swansea, Ty Dwt cottage makes a perfect base from which to explore all of South Wales' beautiful attractions. Ty Dwt is a vibrant stone cottage situated in a peaceful and safe rural area within the Afan Valley. The cottage has a tiled & heated entrance hallway which provides secure storage for cycles and a drying room for wet clothing (there is an outside hose for cycle washing). Kitchen : Fully fitted with an electric oven, extractor hood, fridge with ice-box, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and slow cooker. Bathroom: Walk in power shower, heated radiator/towel rail, Molton Brown toiletries included for guests use. Lounge: Kingsize Memory Foam bed settee, snuggler armchair, dining table with seating for four, television with Freeview. Stairway to bedroom containing kingsize bed, bedside tables, full length mirror, wardrobes & television with Freeview. This bedroom affords access to an outdoor decked & furnished roof terrace with fire pit. Ty Dwt was newly refurbished during 2019 with high quality furnishings, it benefits from central heating throughout & double glazing with star gazing Velux roof windows to the first floor bedroom. Wifi throughout cottage. Guests will have full access to all areas of Ty Dwt during their stay. The proprietors Aled and Clare live next door so are always available to assist with queries and will willingly provide information about the area if required. There are many local pubs and restaurants situated within the immediate area. Ty Dwt is perfect for walkers, families and mountain bikers alike. A car (and of course, a bike) is recommended to explore the locality, with ample parking provided directly outside the property on a private driveway. The property is situated 10 minutes from the M4 and Port Talbot Parkway railway station. The property has excellent access to many walking & cycling trails within the Afan Valley Forest park, paths and routes and is conveniently situated to further explore the beauty of South Wales. Local cycle route maps can be provided. Dogs are welcome along with a £100 'Doggy damage deposit' which is fully returnable upon completion of your stay (providing all is well).
