There is one parking space on the driveway. Additional free, overnight parking is available on the street from April 1 to October 31. In winter, street parking is available from 06h00 until 01h00 to allow for snow clearing and salting. Park under the tree, follow the 10 stairs to the back garden. Your bright, open concept living room with fireplace looks onto gardens and forest. Your rooms are large and bright. You have a full kitchen with many basics provided. Unlimited wifi, TV and laundry are included. It’s a short walk to biking/walking trails. Shopping, swimming, local events are just minutes away. The entire suite is for your use. Wander in the gardens, enjoy the quiet , clear night sky. Join us outdoors for a (masked and distanced) chat if you wish. Although we often use the stone pathway along the west side of the house, the patio and stairs provide access to the backyard for all. Please ask us if you have questions or are in need something. We are here to help you enjoy your stay. The Elora Garden Retreat is perfect for a relaxing vacation or a calm space at the end of your workday. The area is ideal for nature lovers, foodies, music lovers, the business traveller, photographers, plein air artists and fly fishers. Come along, we’d love to meet you. You will find your stay relaxing. We are in an older, quiet residential area between Fergus and Elora. A 2-5 minute car ride gets you to many amenities and events. If you're up for a walk, the museum, trails, the river and the Quarry are within a 10 minute walk from our home. Ask us for information on bicycle rentals. Snowshoes and a map of trails can be rented from the museum 500m down the road! We can also direct you to ice climbing instruction and river rafting. There are lots of fun things to do here! We are on a well and septic thus we are conscious of water use. We share the U shaped driveway with the neighbour allowing for drive through access to the road when the centre lane of the driveway is open. When there is snow, we wait until the neighbour has cleared their half of the driveway down to the pavement before using it.
