Comfortable queen size bed, floor to ceiling louvre windows with full length curtains, looking out on to tropical garden, wooden floors, cupboard space, desk, own bathroom, and wall fan. Shared wc. Newly renovated kitchen, gas stove, all appliances and your own fridge on verandah. Verandah has a dining table that comfortably seats 8, and there is a three seater swing bed which allows for peaceful afternoon snoozing. The lounge room is a large cool airy space with couches, tv, bookshelves. We have wireless internet and VOIp. We are an artist and a musician, so creative people - and appreciators of the arts - especially welcome! We have several bookshelves of art and travel books, novels. Children are welcome; we have boxes of toys, lego, children's books. Please be aware this is an old elevated family home - we have lived in this community for over 20 years - if 'hotel clean' is what you are searching for this may not be the place for you. We take pride in keeping the floors polished, the kitchen and bathroom immaculately clean, and providing as many little extras to make your stay with us extra-special. Central front driveway can accommodate 3 or 4 cars. The whole house is for sharing. Large salt water pool, verandah, central living area,, tropical garden with shady sitting spaces, downstairs bathroom and wc. As much as is required. We are friendly, helpful and welcoming but respect our guest's privacy. Please be aware from time to time we have Helpx helpers- who live separately downstairs with their own bathroom and cooking facilities. They help us manage the house and garden to keep everything clean and tidy. We are 5 minutes from the foreshore and the Rapid Creek beach, also 5 mins from the Sunday Rapid Creek food and local produce markets. There is a great coffee shop, an organic grocery shop, general supermarket, and a Japanese, Pizza and Greek takeaway/cafes all within walking distance at the Rapid Creek Shopping Centre. We are 5 mins from all the main bus routes in and out of town. We have at least two bikes in working order ready to borrow at any time, + helmets and bike locks. It's a two minute walk to the bike path which will lead you all around the seafront one way and along the Rapid Creek upstream the other way. We have freshly laundered new sheets, pillowcases, towels and sarongs in the room for your use and the room is thoroughly cleaned for each guest. We have a weekly cleaner as well as Helpx helpers who clean throughout the whole house. It is a typical old style open tropical home with a unique charm all of its own. Please consider carefully though, if immaculate 'hotel-standards' are your preference this may not be the tropical place for you!
