Please note we have a pool, but the pool is not to be used unless discussed prior with the owners. Our dogs love to swim. Its not relaxing to use our pool, it's fun. As this is the dogs home, and they get very sad if you swim without them. Drowning is against our rules! No glass in the pool area & do not prop the pool door open. We ask that guests respect our privacy and do not use the rumpus room (the room with the blue couches and TV). You may use the front lounge room to read in - be aware that’s its very close to our bedroom. My husband and I work full-time, Monday to Friday. We usually get home after 6pm. We like to give guests their own space, we are happy to answer any questions you may have. It was farm land until about 20 years ago when housing estates were developed. Our house is a minutes walk from the The Henderson Creek Wetlands - a hidden treasure of native bushland and wetland that is home to kangaroos, echidnas, pelicans, herons and swans. We are a few minutes walk from the The Promenade, a small group of local shops including a cafe, pizza and ribs take-away and a small grocery store. A 30 minute walk (or a 10 minute bus trip) away is Plenty Valley Westfield, a large shopping mall. Train to the city - either a 25 minute walk to the station or a five minute walk to the bus stop that goes to the train station. 50 minutes by train from South Morang to the centre of the city. 30 minutes by car/taxi/Uber from the Airport, cost is about $60 Alternatively option from Airport is to catch Skybus to the CBD and then a metro train to South Morang and then a bus or Uber to our place- total cost for one person this way is approximately $35 and will take at least 90 minutes The Dogs We are the proud humans of two dogs, German Short Haired Pointers; Lola (Lolly), 4 and Isaac, 12. Our dogs will keep you company when you are at home. Both are rescue dogs and both are going through intensive training, so we ask that you are patient with them. They bark a bit, jump up little, you know, normal dog things. But they are trying extra hard to learn new manners. Lolly has a habit of dashing out the front door if it is open, and then not coming back, so we ask that you be extra careful coming and going not to let her out. Lola thinks every bed is her bed, if she jumps on yours and you don't want her there say 'Lola off' and she will hop off.
