You are guest in the “Little Solitude”, a vacation home in the historical center of the old wine-growing village Rosswag. Across the street from a late-gothic church, the Church of St. Martin, and nestled between old farm houses, sits this picturesque, Baroque vacation rental, built in 1769. Renovated in 2017, it offers a large living room, dining room, compact kitchen, and 1.5 bathrooms. Two bedrooms offer room for two to four guests who will enjoy comfort in a historical ambience. The "Little Solitude" is a three story original framework house. You will find the main entrance to your rental located on the west side of the home; the workshop on the ground level is not accessible to guests. Inside the main entrance you will be greeted by a small entry way that includes storage under the stairwell, if you wish to bring your bicycles, max. 4. The staircase is steep and not accessible by wheelchair. On the second floor you will find a full bathroom, dining room, living room and kitchen. In the kitchen, you will find the staircase to the third floor. The third floor includes two twin beds, a half bathroom, and finally a master bedroom with a queen bed. We live in the village, and depending on our availability we answer your questions. Rosswag is situated between the river Enz, vineyards, forrests and pastures, and is an ideal vacation destination for hiking, bicycling, and canoe or kayak excursions on the river. Various historical points of interest in the region are well worth visiting, such as the impressive Maulbronn monastery (a UNESCO world heritage landmark), the Celtic Museum in Hochdorf, the Museum of Naive Art in Bönnigheim, or Ludwigsburg with its large Baroque castle and park. Depending on weather conditions, it is possible to book a hot air balloon ride in the region ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) The village of Rosswag can be quiet in the evenings, other than the church bells.
