Close to wineries, main street restaurants, rail trail (cycling) and just 10 minutes drive from the Hume Fwy. La Maison St Arnaud is boutique bed and breakfast located in Rutherglen, which is a small town in north-eastern Victoria (Australia). Formerly the Mt Carmel Convent for the Presentation Sisters from 1901 for 27 years, it is now privately owned. The property is pet and cyclist friendly. The room: Indigo Deluxe King Suite offers a rainwater shower ensuite & WC. The King bed and be split into twin bedding is preferred. Ensure you ask at time of booking for this configuration. More details: Rates include a gourmet breakfast, complimentary tea, coffee, biscotti and wine. The rate of $195.00 is per room per night. Facilities: Private, off street parking and multiple outdoor sitting areas. In room: LED flat screen TV is provided. Guest TV lounge has a 50" plasma and comfy sofas with ottomans. Guest sitting room with French door access to verandah. Property has evaporative aircon and ducted heating. Check-out: 10.00am. Earliest check-in: 3.00pm. Children: There is room for a BYO cot. That said, La Maison St Arnaud is more suited for couple getaways and the business traveller. Pets: Two small dogs reside at the property with the owner. They are friendly and quiet. Guests have sole use of the cottage. Maximum 4 adults at any one time accommodated in a choice of 2 deluxe suites. Guest TV lounge and guest sitting room with verandah access. True to traditional B&B I am residential, and very friendly. Having enjoyed a career in customer service I am now excited to be able to provide excellent customer service in my own small business. My neighbourhood is everything you imagine a small town neighbourhood is. It is not uncommon to meet my neighbours (often with an arm full of fruit and veg from their gardens) or to engage in conversation with walkers passing by with their dogs. The B&B is walking distance to town & the tourist information centre (400m), 1km to my nearest winery, Jones Winery & Cafe and bike trails just metres away. If coming to Rutherglen for Winery Walkabout or Tastes of Rutherglen the shuttle buses are within easy walking distance (400m) and if here for a wedding or other winery event, La Maison is a pick up stop for guests and Rutherglen has taxi services.
