Hiisi Eco Hideaway

I warmly welcome you to my humble place of relaxation. This little vacation house is a separate atelier building next to the main house and fully for your own use. It is surrounded by the forrest and next to lake Hiidenvesi, so it is perfect for guests who enjoy being outdoors in nature or need a place to calm down and relax or concentrate. The grounds are quite steep as it is next to a cliff side, so therefore sadly not suitable for small children or people with limitations in moving about. There is a bedroom on the balcony with a queen-sized bed. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor. There is running water for shower and kitchen but please note that no dishwasher and only a waterless toilet (modern and new Separett Villa composting toilet). The vacation house is most suitable for 1-2 adults but there is a couch bed that can be used for a third person during shorter stays. Smaller pets may be allowed but please consult with me first. The small house is fully for your own use but the garden area (which is mostly forrest), lakeside and sauna are shared with me. You will also have a simple and small yet separate area for grilling and eating outside on your own. I am struggeling to get a WiFi for summer for you to use but cannot guarantee it yet, sorry for that! As I want to encourage people to travel and explore also alone, I have tried to make this place affordable also for solo travellers. That is why the pricing has been set by the number of people staying. I will be available for you during your stay and will do my very best to help you with any needs you may have to make your stay memorable. I will naturally also give you your own space and stay out of sight when not needed. Please note that the main building is right next door to the atelier and the garden is shared, so you will not be able to have full privacy all the time when staying outside. This is a place of relaxation and the closest neighbours are summer cottage owners. You will be able to walk in the forrest, pick berries during summer or mushrooms during autumn, and enjoy the Finnish summer cottage feeling by the lakeside. The closest supermarkets are in Nummela center and Vihdin Kirkonkylä, both approximately 8 km away. You will need a car. Or a good bicycle at least. The closest bus stop is 2 km away and the main bus station is in Nummela center, 8 km away. The Vihti area offers lots of sports activities such as padel, tennis, badminton, hiking, kayaking, paddling, golf, disc golf - you name it! There are wonderful places to visit within an hours drive, for example the Nuuksio, the Torronsuo and the Liesjärvi National Parks. Other places nearby worth visiting include Fiskars Village with numerous cultural events and sights, and Svartå Manor for fine dining in beautiful surroundings. Helsinki is 50 km away. I try to support an ecological way of life and hope that my guests will try to do the same while staying here. Recycling waste and using water only as needed is warmly encouraged. The warm water boiler is only 60 litres, so long showers under running water do not work very well. The grounds are quite steep and mostly forrest. The lake shore is not made of sand but there is a small sitting area in front of the sauna and a bit further away a cliff that opens to a wonderful view of the lake. There is no quay and the bottom of the lake is a bit rocky but walkable. If you have swimming shoes you might want to use them if the soles of your feet are sensitive. The sauna is included in the price once in 2 to 3 night stays and three times in a weeks stay. Additional sauna visits agreed on with a small extra charge. As you will be in the middle of the forrest you might wake up to the singing of blackbirds, the chirping of blue tits or the pecking of woodpeckers. If you want to secure your sleep you should bring your ear plugs - just in case :)
