As featured in the Times 25 Stylish Stays for 2021 and Conde Nast Traveller, nestled in the village of Coniston you will find our secluded 19th century former coach house. Ideally located, leave your car behind, enjoy walks and bridleways from our door step, walk up the fell side or stroll down to the village to enjoy a meal at our local pub with it’s own brewery or one of the restaurants or cafes. The picturesque iconic Lakeland villages of Hawkshead, Grasmere and Ambleside are nearby. With 2 kingsize beds my place is ideal for couples, romantic weekends and honeymoons! Sorry we cannot accept pets. We are happy to welcome babes in arms and children 7 and over. We have our own private landscaped woodland garden with sitting areas for alfresco dining and fell views. Parking spaces for two cars and two stables for secure storage of bicycles We are available on the telephone at all times for any advice and help required. The Lake District National Park, one of the most beautiful parts of England, where you will find our highest mountain Scafell Pike, its deepest lake Wastwater, over 20 lakes, numerous tarns and waterfalls with beautiful and dramatic scenery at every turn. The Lake District is now recognised as a UNESCO world Heritage site. Spend active days exploring waterfalls, hiking the fells, mountain biking or riding the winding roads. Enjoy watersports in an original Swallows And Amazons setting or try a Via Ferata We have plenty of experience of driving, walking and biking in the Lakes. There are O/S maps and walking guides in the house together with useful information on our website. Within walking distance of the lake, hire a rowing boat, take the Steam Yacht Gondola or enjoy lunch on the shore. Drop off at the jetty at Brantwood and explore John Ruskin’s gardens and museum and enjoy afternoon tea on the terrace with stunning views.
