Rippling Waters Bed & Breakfast (Paris Room)

Step back in time in our 1875 Victorian manor located in the picturesque Village of Bobcaygeon. Five minute walk to town with restaurants, Lock 32, museum, Settler's Village, shopping & the famous Bigley's Shoe store. Ice cream right from the Kawartha Dairy factory is almost mandatory when you visit. We have a 70 foot dock for you to moor if you plan to come by boat on the Trent. Please take a look at our "Venice Room" listing for availability. Adult oriented. Your room has a queen size bed with an original tin ceiling and a luxurious private spa-like washroom with bathrobes. An upper level lounge with games, books and a private space for you to read overlooks the beautiful rippling waters in front. The home does not have central air conditioning, but the bedroom has a portable air conditioning unit to keep our guests comfortable. Guests can enjoy use of our kayaks or just go for a swim from our private dock. Cozy covered front porch overlooking bay. BBQ's, picnic tables, beach towels are available. Fishing and pontoon boats available at Buckeye Rentals across the bay. While we respect your privacy, Glenn and I are available to make recommendations for restaurants, driving tours and to make your visit memorable. In addition to this being our permanent home, we require that you follow Airbnb’s health and safety guidelines (e.g. maintaining social distance and wearing a mask in common areas). Glenn and Julie have been fully vaccinated and will greet you wearing a mask and serve breakfast in our dining room wearing a mask. We do have the London Rosegarden Room overlooking the tranquil bay available with a double bed which can accommodate 2 people. This can be booked only with the Paris Room, as the washroom will be shared. Price per night would be $100/night including breakfast. A full breakfast which includes homemade bread, local in season fruit, locally sourced free range eggs, breakfast sausage or ham, peameal bacon or strip bacon with homemade jams, tea/coffee and juice. Please let us know of any dietary issues as we also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free breakfasts.
