Granby Cottage

Granby Cottage is a newly converted holiday cottage. The cottage has been finished to a high standard, keeping all the lovely characteristics of the old barn. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout, high spec kitchen and bathrooms & log burning stove. The Cottage is in the heart of a box hedged court yard with another holiday cottage next door 'The Stables' run by my mother Caroline. The cottage is very easy to find with plenty of room for parking. The cottage is situated on our family farm which is surrounded by peaceful countryside and walks from the doorstep. This comfortable home is the perfect base from which to explore everything the Cotswolds has to offer. Open Plan Kitchen & Living Room, the room has been cleverly divided with stone flooring in the kitchen and carpet in the living room both with underfloor heating. Kitchen, is well equipped, which includes a range cooker, Nespresso Coffee Machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster. Living room, Dining table for up to six depending on numbers. Large Smart TV with Netflix, Iplayer, ITV hub etc. Comfortable three seat and two seat sofa, matching coffee and lamp table. Log burner. Stairs lead up from the hallway to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1, King Size Bedroom with exposed beams, a large window looking out over the courtyard garden, Smart TV and En-suit shower. Bedroom 2, Double Size Bedroom with exposed beams, a large window looking out over the stables. Walk in wardrobe. Family bathroom, Contains a free standing bath with shower head, toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from landing to the second floor, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 3, King Size Bedroom with exposed beams and oak framed bed. There is an outdoor courtyard with seating, where guests can enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The cottage is situated on our family farm. Whilst it’s completely separate from the farmhouse we are close by to offer recommendations for local pubs, restaurants etc if requested by guests. Shipston on Stour is a small traditional country town just 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Shipston maintains a 'foodie' reputation including a butchers, grocery/fishmonger, bakery & specialist delicatessen with a variety of restaurants & pubs offering a large range of cuisines. Shipston on Stour lies in the northern Cotsworld region with many picturesque towns & villages including Stratford Upon Avon. The Cotswolds is a rural location and whilst there is access to public transport, it is highly recommended that you have a car.
