The Potting Shed Benenden, Self-catered Barn
The Potting Shed is a small Kent barn, once used as the potting shed by ornithologist and artist Capt Collingwood ‘Cherry’ Ingram. Converted in 2012 into a one bedroom self-catered holiday let. There are 2 private gardens including one with a summer house for the exclusive use of guests. Set in the beautiful village of Benenden, down a private drive, but just a short walk form a pub and village shops and in the heart of Kent, with many beautiful surrounding gardens and houses. The Potting Shed Sleeps Two with the option of a Double bed or twin on request. The barn is surrounded by a stunning topiary garden, so if you like gardens this is the place to stay. We open for the National Garden Scheme on certain dates of the year. We live next door, but you have a private entrance and gateway, so although we are always happy to chat, show you the gardens and tell you about the area, we understand that you may wish to hide away to. We are just off Benenden Village Green, close to St Georges Church. Benenden is a very picturesque village, with a huge Green, where they play Cricket in the summer. We are also just a short walk from The Bull, an award winning Pub, renowned for its good food. There are many well marked footpaths around Benenden, you can get to us by car, but the bus stop is just a short walk across The Green. We are surrounded with many stunning Gardens and Houses open to the public.
