Astor Apartment is a beautifully fully furnished, 2-bedroom apartment situated within a 2-minute walk of both Plymouth Hoe and Plymouth City Centre. The Apartment has 1 bedroom with a double bed, and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. By special request, you can opt to convert the 2nd bedroom to 1 x king size bed, instead of 2 singles. There is a washing machine and fully integrated chic kitchen with a coffee machine and coffee pods for you to enjoy. COVID Cleaning information. Please note that we have increased our cleans to include a full anti bacterial clean of all surfaces, switches, electronics, keys and cupboards and fridges. The bed linen is washed on a high temperature and there is additional hand sanitiser and soap in the apartment and In the lobby as you enter the property. We would kindly ask you to keep to the 2 meter rule when passing other guests and should you develop symptoms during or after your stay please can you contact Rose so the necessary procedures can be put in place to ensure the safety of all our guests. Astor Apartment is on the ground floor of the building (although there are 4 steps leading to the front door of the building) . It is a two-bedroom apartment with a separate lounge, dining and kitchen area. The apartment has access to a free WiFi, and all bedding and towels are provided. Parking is available on the street nearby, or in the Theatre Royal Car Park at a cost of £12 per day. You will have your own set of keys to allow access to the whole property with Astor Apartment being on the ground floor with its own front door. There is access to a shared balcony if you want to sit and enjoy the morning and evening sunshine. Sussex Place apartments are situated in a cul de sac just off Plymouth Hoe. The bus station is a 10 minute walk into the city and the train station again is a walk through the city on pedestrianised walkways. Ferry services leave from the Hoe into Cornwall and links to other parts of the city. Boat trips can be organised just near the Mayflower Steps which will take in all of the Dockyard and surrounding fishing villages and historic houses in nearby Mount Edgcumbe. Another local historic must see is the The Royal William Yard in Plymouth originally conceived by Samuel Pepys when he was secretary to the Navy in the 17th century and constructed by Sir John Rennie between 1825 and 1831. Designed as both a factory and supply depot for ships victualling needs, here the Royal Navy refuelled with rum. It continued to supply right up to its closure in the early 1990s, which has now been redeveloped into a world-class development. Mount Edgcumbe country park is just on the opposite bank of the river Tamar from the Royal William Yard with a frequent passenger ferry connection. The foot passenger Cremyll ferry that goes to Mount Edgcumbe is a 20 minute walk from Astor Apartment . There is also a regular water bus (ferry service) from the Royal William Yard, which transports people to the Barbican in the centre of the city and operates from the 1st May to the 30th September. Within the Royal William Yard there is the Seco Lounge restaurant and bar, the University of Plymouth Fine Arts exhibitions. If there is a problem with the water the stop cock can be found underneath the kitchen sink. If you would like to have a mid-holiday clean to refresh your holiday home and change your bedding and towels please call our team. There will be a £40 charge for this. The heating and hot water is on continually, if you need to change this please use the thermostat situated in each flat that can be operated to suit your needs. There is no need for you to adjust the boiler. How to Operate the thermostat is to be found in this manual. Please place your keys in the lock box with your own unique number each time you leave the flat. (That way you won’t lose them on the beach!) Please do not bring bikes into the property, they can be chained up to the railings on the front of the property.
