Sine Cera has been created as a sanctuary - a place to rejuvenate the spirit. This is a unique facility catering for 30 in twin share and 70 in bunks - a total of 100. Sine Cera is owned and operated by a charity, Dharma Care Inc. It is located on 200 acres of spectacular rainforest gullies, pristine creeks and dramatic bushland ridges. It is home to some of the area’s most iconic flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species. Dawn at Sine Cera is a symphony of birdsong. Sine Cera adjoins the World Heritage Border Ranges National Park with its ancient Gondwana forests. These forests have survived since Australia was part of the ancient supercontinent of Gondwana that existed between 510 and 180 million years ago. It is difficult to exaggerate the beauty and significance of these forests. They “include the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world, large areas of warm temperate rainforest and nearly all of the Antarctic beech cool temperate rainforest. Few places on earth contain so many plants and animals which remain relatively unchanged from their ancestors in the fossil record” (Commonwealth Department of Environment, 2014). A visit to Sine Cera connects our visitors to some very ancient and important needs – the need to connect with the enormity and wonder of the natural environment. It is through experiencing that connection and the friendships forged working in such an environment that our guests are rejuvenated and group outcomes achieved. This listing and prices are aimed at family groups. However, Sine Cera is also used for church, business, weddings, charities, yoga and meditation, and school groups. Please contact us for pricing arrangements for these different guest groups. No matter what the focus of your group, Sine Cera will add to the success of your endeavour. Contact us for the full range of prices for families, health and wellness retreats, weddings and corporate events. For discussion with each group. There is a caretaker on site. Within 20 mins driving distance of World Heritage listed Border Ranges National Park and its ancient Gondwana forests. Wilderness location but only 2 hrs from Brisbane, Gold Coast and Byron Bay. There is no public transport. Four wheel drives access is not required. There is a 4 km stretch of dirt road as you approach Sine Cera but it is of a good standard.
