Comfortable double room
Tastefully decorated private room with bath/shower & toilet on same level in large victorian house, good location 2 mins walk from promenade a few minutes from local shops & markets. We also have another room that sleeps 1 or 2 guests, 1 superking bed that can be made into 2 single beds,, so we can sleep 4 all together, suitable for larger parties. TV, WiFi, Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge in the room, I do provide a continental style breakfast but there are many lovely cafes and eateries a couple of minutes walk from the house should you require something more substantial. The guest bedroom and the bathroom on the same landing are for your use, the kitchen may be used for access to the rear for sitting out or smoking and if we are around you are more than welcome to join us for a brew and a chat. We also have a large front lounge, if we are in there come and join us, if we are not there please feel free to use the space anyway. My husband Steve or myself will be available throughout your stay should you have any issues or queries. We are happy to interact but are equally happy to give you your space if you so wish. Morecambe is well known for it's breathtaking sunsets and amazing views across the Bay. We have the famous Art Deco Midland Hotel as featured on many TV programmes and the beautiful Winter Gardens. Morecambe also hosts many festivals, Vintage by the Sea, Steampunk 'A Splendid Day Out', Catch The Wind kite festival, regular Northern Soul weekends, Nice & Sleazy punk festival, Morecambe Carnival and many other music festivals hosted throughout the town. We also have The Platform which is a great venue for many comedies, plays, tribute acts, touring bands and solo artists for details of up coming events visit more in morecambe website. Stroll along the prom with your fish and chips or go to one of our many cafes and restaurants if you prefer a 'sit down' meal. Visit the Festival Market (Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun & summer Bank Hols) and the outdoor market on Sundays. Morecambe has got something for everyone. Our house is very close to bus routes to Heysham village, Morecambe town centre & Lancaster and we are only 5 mins walk from the railway station. By car we are approx 30 mins from Kendal in the Lake District, 15 mins from Lancaster, 15 mins from the wildlife park at Leighton Moss & 30 mins from the Forest of Bowland. Our home is a no smoking zone but if you smoke we have an area at the back where you are welcome to go and have a cigarette. We do not have any pets so no pet hairs or allergies to worry about.
