Bellbird Cottage

Waterfront magic with direct access to private beach. This is a lovely little cottage with every possible amenity for a getaway in summer or winter. The stunning views and short walk to the beach make this the perfect place to spend a holiday. Go for a walk or swim or have your wines down at the beach on the deck. Or bring your boat and put it on our mooring and enjoy the fishing and/or water sports. Amazing views over the beautiful Kenepuru sound. Birdsong and peaceful bush clad section. The cottage has three bedrooms (two with views). The kitchen was only put in three years ago and is open plan to the dining and living area. The living area opens up to an expansive deck with wonderful views over the Kenepuru Sounds. A short walk down a leafy path and you are at the beach which is private and sheltered. The entire bach is available to you. We live in the neighbourhood and can pop down if there are any problems but will not usually greet you on arrival. The key is in a lock box. The Kenepuru is in my opinion the loveliest of the sounds and we call it undiscovered paradise. We are half way between two entry points to the Queen Charlotte track so you can walk on this easily. There are other lovely walks in the area. We are about 5 km from each of The Portage (full meal and coffee service) and Te Mahia resorts (coffee, small shop and pizza and cake) and also Mistletoe Bay Eco camp (coffee and ice-cream and very small shop). You can boat and swim in the Kenepuru. Our cottage comes with a mooring for your boat (up to 12 m) and you can launch at Portage or Te Mahia. The bird life is amazing and bellbirds and tuis regularly visit the cottage. NOTE From Xmas until the end of January there is a 7 night minimum stay from Sunday to Sunday. All other times of the year there is a 2 night minimum stay. There is no public transport. You need a vehicle to get here. PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM XMAS UNTIL THE END OF JANUARY THERE IS A 7 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY FROM SUNDAY TO SUNDAY
