We offer a bright, small, cosy, fully equipped flat with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. The flat offers everything you need in a very small space: a bright living/dining room with an IKEA sofa bed, a kitchenette with ceramic hobs and oven, a wardrobe and a new, beautiful shower room with window. Attention! Regarding Covid 19! As of 18.11.: Due to the high numbers, a stay is only possible for demonstrably recovered and vaccinated guests! As your hosts, we take the responsibility for your health and safety very seriously and try, as far as we know and possible, to meet all current requirements. We have revised and adapted our procedures according to hygienic aspects as well as the respective federal, state and/or local regulations in order to offer you the best possible protection. Nevertheless, regulations are changing rapidly. Please contact us briefly in advance, then we can tell you what is currently allowed in the district of Ostallgäu! ****************************** The flat offers everything you need in a small space for holidays or business stops: A fully equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom, a small terrace to relax on and, of course, Wi-Fi access. Important to know: The sofa bed is the Beddinge model from IKEA. It is quickly set up as a couch and just as quickly becomes a bed again (mattresses: 1.40x2.00m). There is an extra shed where bicycles can be stored. We provide simple bicycles free of charge. The flat is completely separate but in our house. There are 4 of us plus a dog, so we are sure to be heard and seen. We look forward to making your acquaintance! Attention! The garden and parking spaces around the house are being redesigned. At the moment there are no works, so no noise, but it is not yet as pretty as it should be. The staircase to the flat does not have a railing yet, but it is not really high. You have your own entrance around the corner to the left of the house, at ground level. You can also check in independently at any time! You have a separate entrance and can check in independently. But we are always happy to hear a short hello or give you tips about Waal and the region. You can always reach us if you have any questions. The artists' village Waal is located in the Ostallgäu region and is directly on the Romantic Road. There are inns, a pottery, a castle and famous events like the passion plays or the handicraft market. In the village there is a bio shop, a village shop, a butcher, a milk filling station, egg shops, even regional bio noodles and rapeseed oil in neighbouring villages. The nearest towns: Buchloe (10 km), the picturesque Landsberg am Lech (about 12 km), Allgäu Skyline Park / Therme Bad Wörishofen 20 km, Ammersee about 30 km, Munich / Augsburg about 70 km, Königsschloßer / Füssen about 60 km, Garmisch Partenkirchen about 1 hour by car. Attention! Even though we are the Ostallgäu: Do not expect snow-covered mountains! The Alps are about 60 km further south - trips there are possible, but the apartment is probably less for mountain tourists. But the region has a lot to offer here. There is a bus directly to Buchloe and Kaufbeuren. From there you can get everywhere. You can park directly in front of the door. Dear holiday guests! A warm welcome! We are pleased that you have chosen our holiday apartment in the beautiful Ostallgäu! Our apartment has been lovingly furnished for you, so we hope you will feel comfortable. If you miss something in the holiday flat or if you need help, you can always contact us. Here are a few tips for your stay Departure On the day of departure, the apartment must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. with a broom. If no one has booked after you, you are welcome to stay longer, just ask. Tips for excursions Since we are not local ourselves, we still like to travel the whole area. If you still need inspiration, please ask us. We also have a few books with tips for excursions in the area which we are happy to lend. Shopping If you need groceries, you can go to the village shop at the market place, at the castle Waal, or you can go shopping in the organic food store on the Peter-Dörfler-Str., which is at the end of the Alleweg on the right, on the left side. There is a bakery on the corner of Peter-Dörfler-Str./Ritter-von-Herkomer-Str. We also have a butcher's shop approximately in the middle of Ritter-von-Herkomer-Str. A drinks market is located next to the bakery. For larger purchases it is best to drive 4km further to Jengen, where there is a large Rewe market at the Marktanger. Own bikes Your own bikes can be stored in the small shed on the left in the garden. Bicycles We are happy to lend you bicycles. There should be a bicycle lock in the apartment and the key to it is on the key ring. The bicycles are in front of the door. You are welcome to borrow them and explore the area. Internet/ W-LAN In the house there is W-LAN (devolo-340_guest), key: WFY TQO DQG TXG DNXM Parking facilities It can be parked directly in front of the house on the pathway or left of the house on the parking area. Smoking Smoking is prohibited in our apartment. You are welcome to smoke in the garden, where an ashtray is also available. Restaurants We have in the village and within walking distance 2: Deutsches Haus, Waalnuss. Going for a walk Waal is a beautiful small town with a special atmosphere. We invite you to go for a little walk (about 20 minutes if you don't stop for a bite to eat ;)): Turn right along the road until you see a path on the left behind the old house with garden. Walk along the Alleeweg to the end and turn right at the end. Now BEFORE the big bend in the road, cross the road to the right and walk towards the market place. Through the gate on the right side you will find the Waaler Schloss and up the stairs the big church St. Anna. After that, simply walk straight ahead again across the market place, turn right from the brook "Singold" to the end and turn right again behind the bus stop into Emmenhausener Str. Then it is only about 200m to this point. We, the Güldenhaupts We're four plus dog. We live with you, separate but in one house. That's why they may occasionally get a glimpse of our family life. We hope for your understanding, should it ever get louder. We wish you a pleasant stay! Herman, Melanie, Bennet, Freya & Bari
