The shepherds hut is deep cleaned and thoroughly sanitised with fresh linen and towels provided with every changeover. We ensure to protect the most vulnerable groups who are booking with us** Shepherds Hut Accommodation The Secret Garden Shepherds Hut is situated on our semi rural farm, set amongst many acres of green pastures, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The Farm buildings and recently converted house dates back to the 1890's. The property is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and on the edge of a protected conservation area. There is no need to suffer tight spaces, as the luxury shepherds hut is one of the largest made for a holiday let. Hut Facilities: • King Size Bed with luxury pocket sprung and memory foam mattress with Fresh linen and towels • New 22’’ LED TV with Freeview Smart TV (Including Dave and Film 4) • Dining table and two chairs • Bespoke compact kitchen including Fridge, Belfast Sink, Electric hob, kettle, microwave & toaster • Numours kitchen utensils, plates and pans etc. • Bespoke bathroom with shower and flushing toilet • Hot water storage heater • Portable oil radiator • Open Plan Dining and seating area with views out the French doors across the valley • Free internet and Wifi • Plenty of onsite secure parking (CCTV in operation) • Private fenced in lawn space with picnic table for alfresco dining. • Large Lawns viewing out across the valley on less windy days you can hear the brook at the bottom of the valley • Shared external utility room with Washing and Tumble drying facilities available by the host if required. • Unfortunately, no pets allowed, as the farm is home to a family of chickens, two super friendly Burmese cats and two simply gorgeous Dartmoor Ponies and our family Labrador Location: The Secret Garden Shepherds Hut is in the perfect location. No Plane, Train or Car noise, yet amenities at Yelverton is only a 3 mile drive. You are just minutes drive from Dartmoor National Park with endless walks and reservoirs to visit and many Tors to climb which boasts some of the best views in the UK. Lopwell Dam is 2.5 miles away, which forms part of the Tavy river and also is excellent for paddle boarding. Cornwall 15 minutes drive away. The thriving market town of Tavistock is less than 15 minuets drive and Plymouth town center only 25 minutes away. Lovely Beaches 35 minutes. We are situated at the top of Milton Combe with an excellent country pub a short walk away -‘The Who’d Have Thought It in’ serving wonderful food and offer the perfect place to relax in the garden to the sound of the babbling brook or warm your cockles by the log fires in the colder months in the 15th Century pub. With a conveniently positioned Bus Stop right out side to take you into town should you wish. A National Trust treasure, Buckland Abbey & Garden Estate, Home of Sir Francis Drake is a stones throw away from the pub and only 1 mile from us. Opposite Buckland Abbey there is Course Fishery called ‘Combe Fisheries’ for any keen Anglers out there to spend your day, or there is the gorgeous Garden House, in Crapstone, 1 mile to the north, or if you fancy a game of Golf, Yelverton Golf Club would be happy to have you. Many more short adventures can be had when you venture into Dartmoor National Park again, only a few minutes from where you will be staying. Guests will also benefit from being able to visit beautiful beaches and sites in both Devon and Cornwall within 35 minutes drive. You may park and unload your car and park in the lean too of dutch barn or in unfortunate weather are welcome to park outside of the hut for your comfort.
