George Palmer was one of the first three landholders in the Gungahlin district, establishing a settlement in 1826; his settlement was originally known as Palmerville and later was referred to as Ginninderra. Buses are a 3 minute walk. Taxis are available all hours. You can drive to anywhere in Canberra. Walking is an option to the Gungahlin lakes for strolls.
