This beautiful 18th century apartment combines exquisite original wood floors with modern day comforts and style; and stunning views across to St Cuthbert’s Church and the magnificent Wells Cathedral. The light and airy living space combines an open plan sitting room, diner and kitchen. With a prized city centre parking space, the apartment is two minutes walk from the historic city centre. Guests have full access to the whole apartment including sitting room, dining room and kitchen, two double bedrooms and a luxury shower room. Please note that the double bed in the second bedroom can only be accessed from one side. We have a lovely local meet and greeter and your host is also always available by email and text or by phone from the hours of 8am-10pm. We are just two minutes walk from the centre of Britain’s smallest city. With a lovely High Street full of character and featuring great restaurants and independent shops, you can wander up to the historic Market Place and through the Medieval arches to view the spectacular Wells Cathedral, The Bishop’s Palace and Vicar’s Close, the oldest residential street in the country. Wells is a wonderfully compact city, with everything within a five minute walking distance. It is flat and easy to walk around. Public transport is very limited so you are best to arrive by car and use the private parking space just behind Guardhouse Lane. There are lots of lovely places to visit by car, just outside Wells too and some wonderful rural pubs. We provide sets of towels and your beds are made up with fresh linen. The kitchen and bathroom are both stocked with basic ingredients and toiletries to help get your break off to a comfortable start from the moment you walk through the door. Both double beds are a standard 4ft 6”.
