The Casa Bonesce is a lovingly renovated romantic old stone house. Situated in a sunny and quiet location a few minutes from the picturesque village of Mergoscia, the house has a fantastic view over the spectacular Verzasca Dam and Lago Maggiore. Welcome to our CB-Guesthouse, a great place to stay, with fantastic view over Lake Maggore and at the entrance of the Verzasca Valley. We love it here and we're sure that you will too. From the house door there are a number of wonderful trekking paths for easy or challenging walks. Nearby climbing areas offer exciting granite pitches for rock climbers. Also mountain bikers will find various challenges in the surrounding area. And to cool down, there are the beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear water of the Verzasca river or the mondane charms of Lago Maggiore inviting you to swim or simply take a relaxed stroll. The shared kitchen may be used by all guests. In our large garden and vineyard you can just relax and enjoy the silence and the beautiful views of Lake Maggiore and the Verzasca Dam. We would like to help our guests with tips on hiking, because there are a number of wonderful trekking paths for easy or challenging walks from the house door, to find climbing areas, to find beautiful swimming areas and also cultural events. Mergoscia, located on a beautiful south-facing slope on the western side of the entrance to the Verzasca Valley, is the geographic center of Ticino. Mergoscia cultivates up to 800 meters above sea level. The azienda vitivinicola biologica 'Cà di Ciser' ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) produces organic wines as well as cider and honey. There is also a small dairy, which sells its goat cream cheese directly. If you want, you can also venture into the stable. The lively animals will greet visitors curiously. By car: Coming from the south: Take the A2 Coming from the north: Take Motorway A2 via the Gotthard-Pass or A13 via the San-Bernadino-Pass. Exit Bellinzona south/Locarno - canton road to Locarno. Exit Tenero In Tenero at the 1st roundabout take the 1st exit. At the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Mergoscia - (about 8 km to Mergoscia). After the signpost of Mergoscia, continue until the first hairpin turn (ca. 60 m). At the curve you will see a pink chapel with the date 1905 and a signpost to the guesthouse. Take the small road and follow it for about 50 meters. On the left side you will find the parking place of our guest house. By public transport: Take the train to Locarno. Take Bus No 312 from Locarno station to Mergoscia. Get off at Mergoscia-Rivapiana. Follow the road uphill for about 50 meters to the pink chapel and turn right into the little road. After about 50 meters you will find our house on the left. Put your luggage into the cablecar and ascend ca. 90 steps to go up to our CB Guesthouse.
