Guillaume's Cocoon in the City

This cute 1-person bedroom in our 250 year old home provides everything you need to feel comfortable (wifi, mini-office desk, armchair, ...). Our quiet house borders the forest yet puts you 15 minutes by bus from the city centre, Kirchberg or the train station. Public Transport is free in Luxembourg. With its two windows from which you'll see our nice and quiet neighbourhood, this beautiful room will be your little cocoon! You'll be happy to come back home every evening and have a good night’s sleep before continuing to discover Luxembourg! We want our guests to feel at home, so they have access to the whole house, including living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, terrace, garden and, most important, the coffee machine! The guest bathroom is shared between the other guests, although these are rarely occupied simultaneously. My partner and I live and work in this house and we might have a couple more guests at times too. As we are quite busy, you might not see us very much, but, still, at least once a day. We're there to help you with anything you need, or answer any question about us, the house, Luxembourg city or our beautiful country. Muhlenbach is a very calm neighbourhood, where the biggest noise is usually that of birds in the nearby forest. Very few cars are driving down our road as it is a dead end street. Children might be playing on the street in the summer! An ideal location if you work in town and like to spend some time out walking or running in the woods. Public Transport is free in the whole country! However, you can surely discover the city walking. City Center is about 30’ away by foot. Ask us to have the scenic route explained before setting off for a beautiful day. The bus line 21 is located at a 6 minutes walking distance (Bus stop “Siwemuergen") and takes you every 15 minutes (30’ on Sundays) to the city centre (“Royal-Hamilius” 11’), via the Stäreplaz where you can hop on the tram and quickly get to the Station or the Kirchberg Business and European District. You can also walk to the Pfaffenthal Railways Station (30’), take the train to any place in the country or the funicular up to the Plateau level and there hop on the tram. We also have a Vel’Oh e-bike station at a 6’ walk down the road, where you can easily rent a bike to move around town. If you're by car, you can park it in our private and enclosed driveway. Since we have an electric car ourselves, we have a three phase charging point available for your EV as well (we cannot guarantee compatibility). We do have two cats, Kniddel & Knetsch, and one dog, Linc, who are all over the house and the world, and the first thing they'll want to do, is come and see your's! If you 'd like some privacy, please make sure to close your door, so that these cute little creatures don't invade your space in just the time of a glimpse!
