Glen Cottage is a detached stone built cottage dating back to the 1700’s in the heart of the village of Hathersage but situated in a quiet area just a short walk away from all local amenities including popular country pubs, restaurants, shops and the local swimming pool. Beautifully decorated with original features including beams, flagged stone floors and wood burning stoves for a cosy evening in. The rear french doors lead to an outside space with a dining table and chairs for summer dining. I do not live in the village but can be contacted by phone if needed Hathersage is a very popular village in the Peak District in Derbyshire. It is a popular base for exploring the Hope Valley either on foot or by car, there is plenty to see and do here. Outdoor enthusiasts can walk, cycle or climb. Leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, open during the summer, tennis courts, bowling green and a fitness and health centre. The village has an annual carnival in July and a Horticultural Show in August. There are a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels all nearby. There are lots of pretty villages to visit nearby and the beautiful Chatsworth House which itself has plenty to do. There is bus service and a train station. There is on street parking throughout the Village and a pay and display.
