The Island Annex

A beautiful and private annex built on the grounds of my family home, close to the river. Along with river views, we are right next to the canal should you fancy a walk or a bike ride. Cycle rides, lovely walks, Italian restaurant, Indian restaurant, Coffee and Champagne bar, soft play area for the kiddies, National Coal Mining Museum, Hepworth Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the lovely town of Horbury. Easy access to the M1 and M62, the Island Annex is the perfect place to unwind and relax. A detached open plan studio apartment. Surprisingly spacious, and very comfortable. King size bed. Quality Egyptian cotton bedding and luxury towels. Very large walk in shower. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable sofa bed and a travel cot available too. Private secure parking. Please read our reviews, we’re very proud of them. Although we welcome pets, we ask that when you are outside of the building, you keep your pet on a lead. There are many lovely walks for you to enjoy with your doggie. You have private access to the annex and a lovely seating area to have your coffee or maybe a glass of wine. Please note that the outside seating areas can also be used for smoking, as this is not allowed in the building. As your hosts, we are here if you need us. We live in the house opposite your holiday home but we promise that you will have complete privacy. Horbury Bridge is famous for being the home of “Onward Christian Soldiers “. The National Coal Mining Museum, The Hepworth Art Gallery, Bretton Country Park are all just a short drive away. Just walking distance from the annex is an Italian restaurant, Indian restaurant, a Coffee & Champagne bar, a pub, a church and we also have a post office/shop, a Thai takeaway, a Chinese takeaway, a fried chicken/jerk chicken takeaway and lovely canal and riverside walks. Private secure parking space and regular busses that will take you to Wakefield, Huddersfield and Barnsley. Please note that whilst we ask that you do not smoke inside the building, there is a seating area outside for smokers
