Our cabin is the perfect base to explore the beautiful surrounding area and kicking back around the fire. Suitable for families, couples or a small group of friends, it’s off grid but with all the modern luxuries you need for a comfortable stay. Don’t forget your camera because the local wildlife make for some winning photographs. Tanjil Bren cabin offers its guests a unique and relaxed mountain experience nestled amongst a majestic eucalyptus forest. 20 minutes from Mt Baw Baw and with plenty of walking tracks it’s a great spot to explore the local surroundings. The cabin is off-grid, running on batteries charged by solar panels and a back up generator, with 240V power it runs like a normal home. Tanjil Bren is a tiny town in the Baw Baw forest, with only a handful of permanent residents and no shops it’s the perfect place to escape. The only way to get here is to drive and please make sure you have plenty of fuel. Pillows and doonas are supplied but you are required to bring your own linen and towels. If this is a problem we may be able to supply these for a extra fee, if required please contact us. You need to bring all the food you might require as the nearest supermarket is Neerim South. The pantry has some of the staples you might require, no need to bring tea or coffee and there is a small supply of long life milk.
