Fully self contained, Freshwater Bay apartment

Welcome to our wonderful apartment located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to great beaches. Five minute stroll to Freshwater Bay at the base of Tennyson Downs, it is the perfect relaxing base for exploring the Island. The historic town of Yarmouth is 10 minutes away. The apartment is fully equipped ready for self catering holidays, long or short stays. Your own private courtyard and access to the apartment is separate from our house. Ideal for couples and plus 1 or singles. Located only a short stroll from stunning Freshwater Bay and at the base of Tennyson downs. Our bijou well appointed basement apartment has a secure garden with a private small courtyard and is designed for self catering. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster and all utensils (ask if we have forgotten anything) The shower room is small and fitted with shower, toilet and sink. The bedroom/lounge has a double bed, a comfortable day bed that sleeps one if required, TV with Netflix, hanging space and a small dining table. Wifi is available. You will also find an ironing board, iron, some games and books so you may enjoy your stay should the weather keep you in. Thanks Our guests will have use of some garden furniture, BBQ, your own courtyard. Access is separate from the main house and the entrance is at the rear of the property in Blackbridge road, please see directions. Parking is on street without any restrictions, you can normally park very close. We will respect your privacy, however we do use our garden and come and go to our house throughout the day. We do not have access to the basement from the main house. Freshwater Bay and surrounding area is quaint, quiet, has great walks, great beaches, coastline and amazing views. Often on a summers day you will find the locals having BBQs at the beach near the boat house. Freshwater Bay also hosts a renowned golf course open to non members. Be sure to take a trip to the Needles and Alum Bay. If you fancy a night out Yarmouth is easily accessible by bus and has a number of pubs, restaurants and historic buildings. Locally you will find a number of quaint cafes ( 'The Piano'), shops and tea rooms ('Dimbola Lodge') and nearby the town of Freshwater hosts a number of supermarkets, leisure centre, doctors and curiosity shops (' Mrs Middleton's'). The walks of the West Wight take you on a journey through stunning coastline, estuary's, ancient trails and places of interest. The bus stop is 50 metres from the house and the buses go to Yarmouth, Needles, Newport. However not that regularly, there is a bus stop only 10 minutes walk and those run a lot more regular check Southern Vectis website for timetables. Yarmouth is the nearest ferry terminal 10 minute drive. We provide beach towels, towels, shampoo,shower gel and basic supplies to start your holiday. This is a self catering apartment and we do not provide breakfast, however we always leave a fresh loaf, tea, coffee, butter and milk to get you started, please let us know in advance of any dietary preferences. Please note there are 3 steps to the entrance door from the garden, but there is a handrail. Worthwhile mentioning that the ceilings are lower than normal height (6ft 4in) but this has not proven to be an issue. The shower room is compact and may not be suitable if guests have mobility difficulties
