The perfect base for your highland holiday

A lovely family size home from home in sleepy Balnain in Glen Urquhart close to Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. Your stay will be in a fully equipped house with stunning views of the hills, Loch Meiklie and overlook the children's village park. Ideally situated for exploring the highlands the great glen, Loch Ness, Inverness, Urquhart castle, forest treks and so much more and of coarse lots of wildlife to see. All are welcome and the entire house and facilities are yours during your stay. In the house you should find everything you will need including wifi. The kitchen has new appliances along with microwave, kettle, toaster and a full range of cutlery and crockery. The lounge has a log burner which is great on a cold evening and all logs and materials will be supplied there is also 2 large comfortable sofas, a dinner table seating 6, TV, DVD player and a small selection of books and DVD's. Upstairs the bathroom has a bath, toilet, sink and separate shower towels will be supplied for you. There are 3 bedrooms 2 having double beds 1 room having bunk beds which do fit adults and all bedding is provided. A travel cot and high chair are also available on site but these are the only child friendly items here. Please if you do have any questions don't hesitate to ask. The whole house and its facilities are for you to enjoy during your stay. I'm always contactable by phone and can be there if needed or just to answer your questions. When I'm not on site entry can be gained by using the key safe, contact and entry details will be provided on booking. The village of Drumnadrochit is very near by here you will find our local co op shop, post office, health centre, chemist, restaurants, coffee shops, takeaway's, pubs, souvenir shops and also the Loch Ness centre and exhibition. You can explore a lot more with your own vehicle but a bus service does run the local area and also between Inverness and Fort William including Fort Augustus. There is also a taxi service based in Drumnadrochit and there are some beautiful walks too. Pets are permitted to the house this will be mostly dogs and we do ask that they are kept in the downstairs areas of the house as much as possible, a stair gate is also available to help out and we do have a large dog bed, feeding bowls and cage available. We do ask that pets are not left alone especially if prone to barking and if possible all treatments etc are up to date. We are pet owners ourselves and fully understand the problems so please ask firstly if not sure about anything. At the moment the back area will be having a bit of a revamp so I do ask guests to be aware of this as it can't be used for now but the front of the house does get the sun and is great for sitting and taking in the views and with the children's park opposite its great for families.
