Located in the heart of the Huon Valley is this lovely 3 bedroom, self contained unit. It is set up high with sweeping views of the valley. Just down the road from the famous 'Summer Kitchen Bakery' and 5 minutes from the centre of Huonville. The accomodation is set on 5 acres with a lovely garden and lots of wildlife to enjoy. It is a steep property but certainly worth exploring! The entire Valley View house is yours. We are on 5 acres and you are welcome and encouraged to explore it. Both Tim and I work full time and normally get home around 5pm. We are free to chat and meet after that if you wish. If you arrive before then, you can access Valley View from the lock box. Ranelagh and Huonville are considered the gateway to the south of the state. You can enjoy many beautiful roads trips with apple orchards and farms with lots of places to stop and explore. Locally, discover the beautiful wines and cuisine of Home Hill Winery and the pastries of Summer Kitchen Bakery. Geeveston, filming location of 'Rosewood' is only 30 minutes drive and is full of quirky shops and cafes. Cygnet, art central, is a 25 minute drive and the shops and festivals are worth checking out. The Cygnet Folk Festival in January is not to be missed. There are numerous local markets with locally grown and made products. Of course, only 30 minutes drive away is the famous Salamanca Market in the heart of Hobart City. There is plenty of cider to try and cafes to visit. Just 10 mins from the accomodation is Willie Smith's Apple Shed with delicious food and home grown apples and cider. They have an incredible Cider festival in Winter that is fun for the whole family. There is so much to see and do! There are public buses available from the main street on Ranelagh which is about 4km from Valley View. We strongly recommend that you hire a car during your stay. You have access to a private driveway and garage. Our house is located a short drive up a dirt road and our driveway is sealed. When you drive down the drive, there is undercover parking, however it is a little tight with low clearance. There is also room to park on the driveway. The road and drive are fine for two wheel drive cars. If you aren't used to Tassie roads and dirt roads, it can take a little getting use to. We promise the view is worth the drive :)
