MINIMUM STAY 10 DAYS. This beautifully maintained house has all the comforts of home in a convenient location for study and work in Canberra. Arrive with just your clothes and your laptop, and you will be settled and operational in minutes - everything is provided for you. The house has four bedrooms. One master bedroom with ensuite bathroom (reserved for your host) and three single bedrooms. Guests share use of the main bathroom and the separate main toilet. The main bathroom has a large shower, a spa bath, a basin and vanity cabinet and under-floor heating in winter. Guests are usually a mix of professionals and post-graduate students. This private single bedroom has a king single bed, a desk with a desk lamp, a chest of drawers, and a built-in wardrobe. Wi-fi is available throughout the house. Your rent includes all utilities, i.e. internet, water, electricity, gas and heating. There is a lovely big kitchen with a microwave, oven, large fridge/freezer, plenty of pantry space, dishwasher, stove and breakfast bar. This space opens out onto the back balcony, which leads to a large garden. In addition, there is a dining room for common use, a large living room with sofas and a big flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a front balcony with outdoor seating. If you have a car, there is ample parking outside. Guests have the use of their own single bedroom, the shared main bathroom, the shared main toilet, and all other common areas of the house including the kitchen, laundry, living room, dining room, balconies and garden. Maree and Peter will be available to welcome you and settle you in, and are always on hand to help with any queries. Kaleen is located in Canberra's northern district of Belconnen, approximately 10km from the Canberra Central Business District. It is bounded by three major roads – Gungahlin Drive, Barton Highway and Ginninderra Drive – providing excellent connections to other areas of Canberra as well as interstate. Kaleen is in close proximity to a number of major Canberra attractions and institutions, in particular the University of Canberra which is in close walking distance to many areas of the suburb. It is also closely located to Canberra Stadium, Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) Bruce campus and Calvary Hospital. Residents of Kaleen have access to a large range of facilities with one larger and two smaller shopping centres servicing the suburb. Between these three complexes there are two local supermarkets, medical and dental services, a newsagent, post office, hairdressers and beauty salons, takeaways and cafes and much more. There is also a large amount of recreational facilities available within the suburb, both outdoors and indoors. This includes Kaleen District Playing Fields, Kaleen North and South ovals and Kaleen Indoor Sports Club which hosts a range of indoor social Netball, Cricket, Soccer and Volleyball competitions. Kaleen Indoor Sports Club is located within the Eastlake Sports Centre which also includes a licensed sports club and gym. Kaleen is home to a number of schools including three primary schools - Maribyrnong Primary School, Kaleen Primary School, St Michael's Catholic Primary School and Kaleen high school. Public transport: Canberra's public transport consists of a bus network. Kaleen is serviced by ACTION bus routes 30, 31 and 250 (weekdays) and 932 and 934 (weekends and public holidays). These buses will take you to the Central Business District (Civic) or the Belconnen town centre with various stops along the way to other destinations. From the house, it is a five minute walk to the nearest bus stop and the bus trip to either Civic or Belconnen is around 20 minutes. There are also extensive bike paths for cyclists to get around Canberra. MINIMUM STAY - TEN DAYS. HOUSE IS STRICTLY NON-SMOKING.
