Country Log Home suite near Portland AND Mt. Hood

Welcome to our log home guest suite - a roomy, comfortable suite on the main floor of our home. It has a King bed and dresser. The main area has bamboo floors with radiant heat. The bathroom has a heated tile floor. There is a walk in closet, and covered porch with a view of our pastures. Kick back and relax in our country home! Great for hiking on Mt. Hood or the Gorge, ski weekends, or enjoy the city of Portland (less than an hour to Mt. Hood Meadows, Ski Bowl or Timberline). No hidden fees. Upon entering the home, your suite is across the living room- the door is near the wood stove. The bedroom portion of the suite has a king bed and dresser for your use. It has a sliding door onto a private porch overlooking our pastures. There is a small refrigerator in your closet. The kitchen is available for your use - as is the main floor living area. This is our home and we are happy to share it it with you. The upper level is reserved for our use and the main floor is shared use. We may also have guests in the other main floor bedroom. You are welcome to use the kitchen and main floor living space. For guests staying 5 days or more, we can work out laundry use if needed. Feel free to wander the property, just please don't go in with the horses unless we are there. Please park up by the garage in one of the two spaces marked “guest parking”. We love getting to know you and sharing our home, our farm, and our region of Oregon with you. This suite is in our country home, but only 5 miles from the thriving town of Sandy and 10 miles from Gresham, a larger city bordering Portland. There are plenty of shopping and eating opportunities in both. Once here, you may decide you just want to sit back and relax, so consider picking up a few items on your way here and making a meal in our well equipped kitchen. Please park in front of the tall garage door (far left side of the garage as you drive in), though there is enough space that we can make it work no matter where you choose to park 🙂 We usually are here to greet our guests. We are both employed full time out of the house, so there is a likelihood that if you are arriving before 5, you will be letting yourself in (we will send you the lockbox code) and doing self checkout (just return the key to the lockbox, and lock the door). Since I am a teacher, I am not always available between 8 and 3 so it may take time to get a response from me. If you need to check in early or have other questions, allow extra time for hearing back from me. Most guests have had no problem making arrangements, but there’s always a chance of miscommunication somewhere. Please note! When you book on the same day you will be checking in, the room may not be ready before 6:30 PM
