Sweetwell Hideaway

Sweetwell Hideaway is the perfect location to escape.. Sit and enjoy the scenery around the outdoor fire pit, or explore the area on one of the many available walks, including the Bronte way. Both of the below huts are included in the overnight stay. Shepherds hut; The shepherds hut holds a large doubled bed with fresh bedding provided. Decorated in a beautiful rustic farm style. A wood burner is in the huts to keep you nice and warm! Hobbit hut; The hobbit hut has a large open fire/bbq located in the centre of the hut. It has surrounding benches which turn into 3 small, pull out bench beds but we do not provide bedding for these. In this hut we provide utensils, cutlery, pans, tea and coffee and plates for food which you can cook on the inside bbq. We provide 1 bag of kindling, 1 bag of coal and fire lighters. Please feel free to bring extra. Toilet; The toilet is a caravan style toilet which is located in a separate shed. We do not have running water or shower facilities but provide a small water tank for keeping hands clean. Hand wash, sanitiser and face wipes are provided. Electric; The shepherds hut has a strip lighting which is run purely from solar panel. The solar panel also provides electricity to two usb’s for charging phones etc. The hobbit hut and surrounding is only lit with fairy lights or use of the two lanterns which we provide. Guests must be met by someone from the hideaway team in order for you to locate the huts. They are hidden (hence ‘hideaway’) The huts are located up a mile long, bumpy country lane! Vehicles which are higher would be best however I do drive my BMW 1 series up the main part of the lane on a daily basis. We around 3 and a half miles away from worsthorne village where you will fine ‘The Bay Horse’ for amazing food and drinks and a lovely village shop. Our listing is not a 5* hotel and we understand it isn’t for everyone. It is a place to breath in the fresh air, get away from the hustle and bustle, dig your wellies out and enjoy good old fashioned quality time around a fire! I promise you will experience a beautiful view and unforgettable star gazing!
