Siesta is located in a beautiful and green condominium of around 70 villas, called Luisa by the Sea, located in South Goa, on the banks of the River Sal. The Cavelossim beach is across the road from the condominium, and is only a 5 minute stroll away from the villa itself. One of the more famous beaches in India, the Cavelossim beach of Goa will give you the experience of a lifetime when you come here for a vacation. Located between the Arabian Sea and the Sal River, with 25 km of unbroken fine sand, the Cavelossim beach is the ideal place to enjoy your vacation. BEACH ACTIVITIES: You and your children can enjoy cycling on the beach, swimming or splashing about in the warm waters, water sports like parasailing and jet skiing, or simply playing in the sand. There are boat tours that will take you out into the sea for a few hours to spot dolphins. EATING OUT AND NIGHTLIFE: During the tourist season from November to April, there are several restaurants within a 5 to 10-minute walking radius, many beach shacks serving fresh and absolutely delicious food, and some highly recommended restaurants like Fisherman’s Wharf within a 2 kilometer radius. They all provide an excellent selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine – Goan, North India, South Indian and Continental. The Radisson Hotel, with its famous nightclub Titos, is almost right outside the gates of Luisa by the Sea and the starred Hotels The Leela and the Holiday Inn are just 2 kilometres away. DOLPHIN AND SUNSET CRUISES: Cavelossim is famous for its dolphin spotting tours and expeditions. One can also go on sunset cruises on the Sal River. Feel the magic take over as you feel completely at peace with yourself when you see the sun set at a distance and the water gets painted golden orange. Dolphin cruises in the sea are fun and you can be sure to spot a dolphin or two cruising along your boat. If you are lucky enough, they can come real close and allow you to touch them. SHOPPING: There are several shops and shacks for groceries, medicines, liquor, clothes, trinkets, souvenirs, and whatever else a person would normally need on a holiday, within a five-minute stroll. Several tailors provide material and stitching for Indian and Western outfits delivered at short notice. Cycles and scooters are available for hire from many sources just outside Luisa by the Sea. Taxis are available at the gate of Luisa by the Sea to take you all over Goa. And if you want to experience the local bus, it operates at 30-minute intervals and takes you to Margao (also called Madgaon). For longer journeys, Margao offers many buses to take you all over Goa. The villa is not suitable for wheelchair access. A high chair or baby cot are not available. During the Low Season (1st May to 31st October) the swimming pool may be closed. The villa is not certified safe for infants, children or elderly. The shared resident swimming pools in the complex do not have a lifeguard in attendance. Please ensure children are supervised at all times. The river flows at the edge of the garden and can be deep at high tide. Therefore, infants and children must be supervised at all times so that they do not enter the river accidentally or on purpose. The garden and paths can be uneven in places, and the elderly must take care. The villa has a couple of steps at the entry porch, so the less mobile may have to factor this in.
