Suitable for couples. Set on 1.5 hectares, the home and flat are on a battleax block with long driveway and few neighbours. Half the property is bush, which serves as a sanctuary for birdlife. Idyllic setting, opposite the University of Queensland Farm. Very rural, yet very handy to shops (<3 km), public transport (1 km) and only 25 minutes from the CBD. Can use washing machine by request, tennis court ($ if lights required) Note: Many visitors arrive on early flights into Brisbane, and wish to check in in the early morning. Please consider booking the previous night to ensure availability. Always available for assistance during stay. Very handy with internet / computer issues. Pinjarra Hills is a small slice of a suburb which runs along the north side of the Brisbane River, west of Kenmore. It is bound on the south side by the massive University of Queensland farm, part of the Mayne inheritance. Bellbowrie is only 3 km away, with lovely new pub, Coles, McDonalds, and a variety of restaurants (Indian, Sushi, Thai, Fish & Chips). Walking distance if you're feeling fit. Pub will send a van if you ring them. Kenmore, with many more choices of shop and restaurants, is only 6 km away, and Indooroopilly, with giant Westfield shopping centre, is 10 km toward the city. They offer just about anything you might want in terms of shopping, movies, restaurants, and bars. Bus goes directly there from local bus stop that is only 1 km or a 15 minute walk from the gate. Car is best, but there is excellent bus service ( at 15 minute intervals) to the city via Indooroopilly Shopping Town about 1 km from the house. An easy walk. Can provide some transport if arranged in advance, e.g. lift to the bus stop. Uber is available, and quite inexpensive. If you have an interest in bird life, there are dozens of species in the paddock adjacent to the tennis court. Bird life at dawn is amazing! Cool river breezes in the late afternoons make a pleasant stay. Hens grazing in the afternoon provide calming backdrop.
