Short breaks available, at day rate for individuals and couples plus £25 per night for additional guest/s and £25 per dog in total. Weekly rate for up to 2 people, £500 plus £50 per additional adult. Dogs welcome on the ground floor, £25 per week. The house evokes the 1930's era with 2 comfortably furnished sitting rooms with, TV's etc. also a vintage radiogram and 1940's radio set the scene. Ideal for The Peak District/ Sherwood Forest and famous houses. The downstairs shower room with wc and basin has underfloor heating as does the first floor bathroom along with washbasin wc and roll top bath. Both bathrooms have shaver sockets and illuminated mirrors. The modern kitchen has a washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, Neff oven and grill, extractor, liquidizer , coffee making facilities and microwave. The two double and one single bedroom have luxurious bed-linen and there is antique furniture throughout. Customer rating 9+/10. Garden with furniture and lovely rural views. The heating is by modern electric radiators but for those who want to experience an open fire the initial fuel is free and additional can be purchased at the time of booking if required. You will find everything that you need for an enjoyable stay in a unique house at Bryn Tor. A Welcome pack can be arranged at additional cost. Corona virus: The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival. Pillow case protectors will be changed as a matter of course between lettings. A soap dispenser is available at all 3 sinks for hand washing. On leaving guests are requested to put all used cutlery and crockery in the dishwasher and turn it on, leaving it for the incoming guests to unpack. There is a no penalty cancellation policy. I hope this helps guests to plan a break in these uncertain times. There is plenty of fresh air at Bryn Tor with open horizons to the rear. Stay safe and keep well. The yard has ample room for several cars and the rear garden is dog safe. The house which has open countryside to the side and rear, stands on a 4 acre field. Beyond the dog safe garden there is an area of field where guests can enjoy a meal at the picnic table. Guests are very welcome to walk around it the field with pets without disturbing crops when planted, at present it's fallow so feel free to roam. There is a variety of wildlife from hares to buzzards, goldfinches, butterflies and moths. The house will be fully prepared for your arrival including luxurious bed-linen and towels. For convenience the keys are in a safe and you will be given the security code to open it whatever time of day or night that you arrive. I am usually on hand to help if needed just a phone call away. Very near Bolsover Castle, Hardwick Hall, Renishaw Hall, Clumber Park and within easy reach of Chatsworth, The Derbyshire Peak District and Sherwood Forest. The village centre is a 20 minute walk away, the area is served by public transport - bus, there are local taxis and the nearest stations are Chesterfield and Shirebrook for The Robin Hood Line. A train service runs from Manchester airport to Chesterfield. East Midland and Robin Hood Airport are a short car journey away. The 1940's staircase is quite steep so the house may not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems, there is a doorstep and a small patio for sitting out and enjoying the view, a set of steps leads into the garden.
